This site is operated by Widmer Enterprises, Inc., doing business as The Blog Whisperer (“I,” “me,” or “my”). This policy explains what information I collect when you use this site, how I use it, and the choices you have. If you have any question, email me at info@billwidmer.com.

Information I collect

I only collect what I need to respond to you and run the site.

• Information you give me through forms. When you submit the application or the AI Visibility Teardown request, I collect the details you enter, such as your name, email address, company, website, and whatever you write in the message fields.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, my hosting and analytics tools may record standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the page that referred you. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.

How I use your information

• To read and respond to your application or teardown request.
• To deliver the free teardown, audit, or other work you ask for.
• To follow up about working together, if you’ve reached out.
• To understand and improve how the site performs.

I do not sell your personal information, and I don’t share it for anyone else’s advertising.

Newsletter and emails

If you subscribe to my newsletter or email updates, I collect your email address (and any name you give) to send you those emails. I send them through an email service provider that processes your address only to deliver the messages. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time, or email me at info@billwidmer.com and I’ll remove you. I don’t sell or rent your email address.

Service providers

I rely on a few trusted third-party services to run this site and handle what you send me. Each one only processes your information to provide its service to me and maintains its own privacy and security practices. I may also disclose information if required by law.

• Cloudflare hosts and serves the site and stores its images.
• n8n (self-hosted on Railway) receives your form submissions and routes them to my inbox.
• Google Analytics 4 measures how the site is used.
• My email inbox, where I read and reply to what you send.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use it. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects standard, mostly aggregated data such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt-out tools; the site will still work. If you’re in a region that regulates analytics cookies, such as the EU or UK, treat this as notice that they’re in use.

Data retention

I keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond to you and to keep records of our correspondence and any engagement, then delete them when they’re no longer needed. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask me to access, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To make a request, email info@billwidmer.com and I’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information you share, and I work with reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I can’t guarantee absolute security, but I treat your information with care.

Children

This site is meant for business contacts and is not directed at children. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. When I do, I’ll change the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
